Right now your Navy is 100 percent on watch around the globe helping to preserve the American way of life. Whether it be operating and training off the coast of Spain or forward deployed to the Arabian Gulf, the flexibility and presence provided by our U.S. naval forces provides national leaders with great options for protecting and maintaining our national security and interests around the world. EAST CHINA SEA (March 5, 2018) F-35B Lightning IIs perform deck landing qualifications aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 embarked a detachment of F-35Bs aboard USS Wasp for the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Spring Patrol 2018, marking the first operational deployment of the F-35B with a MEU.
