I am a Retired Marine Corps Human Resource Manager and Recruiter with 20 years of active duty. Upon my retirement, I worked as an Executive Recruiter briefly before 9/11. The events of 9/11, destroyed the business where I worked, and I began a search for my next career. That search led me to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where I worked for just under 6 years as a Welfare Caseworker.
I relocated to Ohio to accept a position as an Operations Director with a VA Contractor, and when that assignment ended about 2 years later, I found myself directly supporting Veterans and Spouses again as a Veteran and Employer Outreach Specialist in a County agency. I helped literally hundreds of job seekers by directly referring them to employers I cultivated, or through my work as the local volunteer Cleveland Organizer for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes Hiring Fairs from 2012 – 2015. During those events, we saw more than 1,300 Veterans and Spouses attend these hiring fairs combined.
