AFPC accepting applications for officer instructor, recruiting duty

The Air Force’s Personnel Center will accept applications from active-duty Line of the Air Force officers for the calendar year 2023 Officer Instructor and Recruiting Special Duty Nomination Board April 11 to May 14.

Air Force revises wing, vice and group command screening board process

This year, the Air Force implemented a revised process for the 2022 wing, vice and group command screening boards to streamline notification, align more closely with joint partners and enhance senior leader talent management. Approximately 24% of all O-6 positions are command billets and half of the 780 command positions come vacant each year.

Air Force announces officer stratification guidance

“As we execute Action Order A (Airman), we must remain focused on a culture of transparency,” said Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. “By strengthening our officer stratification policy, we are meeting that intent. This step is necessary to give officers a full understanding of where they stand amongst their peers as well as help better inform our talent management decisions.”

Air Force announces second set of new scholarships for HBCU students

The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps coordinated with leadership within Junior ROTC and its aviation program, the AFJROTC Flight Academy, to find rising college freshmen that had demonstrated leadership ability, aviation competencies, a propensity to serve in the U.S. military and an interest in attending an HBCU.

JAG Corps announces Law School Programs: Funded Legal Education Program, Excess Leave Program

Applications for the Funded Legal Education Program, or FLEP, and Excess Leave Program, or ELP, will be accepted beginning Nov. 1, 2020 through Jan. 10, 2021 including expanded eligibility for enlisted members to commission and then participate in FLEP.
