Whether it be operating and training off the coast of Spain or forward deployed to the Arabian Gulf, the flexibility and presence provided by our U.S. naval forces provides national leaders with great options for protecting and maintaining our national security and interests around the world. U.S. Navy, JMSDF Concludes MultiSail: The guided-missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) leads the guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54), the guided-missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) and the azuki-class JS Fuyuzuki (DD 118) in a formation for the completion of MultiSail. The bilateral training exercise improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. Participants benefit from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
