Professional Brand Creation

Creating your professional brand through your email signature is one of the most overlooked and easiest methods to get started, and it’s available to anyone with an email address!

Therefore, providing a signature block on your outgoing e-mails helps you immediately build your professional brand so that your readers quickly and accurately learn who you are professionally, and add a certain level of credibility to your communication. Furthermore, it shows the reader how you may be reached.

The key then, is to BE ACCESSIBLE!

Here’s a formal example:

***Because I am finding it harder and harder to maintain this website, and serve Veterans nationwide for free, if you are an Officer, or Senior Enlisted (on active duty) {All pay grades at or above E-7}, or an employed Reserve or National Guard service member who is reaching out to me because you are unhappy with your current job, I’m asking you to make a donation.

Below is an article that might help you understand the value of my services:

The fees charged by career coaches vary greatly and you should definitely shop around for a deal. Expect to pay anything from $100 to $500 for a two hour session. Feb 5, 2017

Is a Career Coach Worth the Money? – Undercover Recruiter

Source: https://theundercoverrecruiter.com/career-coach-worth-money/ that I found on 10/22/2018.

Typically, my coaching sessions last approximately 45 minutes each. Sometimes they go longer due to the needs of the Veteran.
As of 10/22/2018, by my review of my clients, I have had approximately 435 appointments with Veterans or Spouses since November 2014!

Therefore, if I’m being conservative using the details above, that’s about $50.00 per appointment (x) 435 = $21,750.00 in unrealized revenue.
Similarly, if I’m being somewhat aggressive in this analysis, that’s about $250 per appointment (x) 435 appointments = $108,750.00 in unrealized income.
To date, I have just 36 reviews in Appointy, and 19 Reviews in LinkedIn from clients or former coworkers. That’s a mere 12% of reviews in nearly 4 years!

I’m not posting this to shame anyone. I’m a Gunny, and I’m here to serve. But, I have to help support my own family! I can’t help more Veterans if people aren’t willing to help me continue my work. The truth is, I am asked all the time, “Gunny, How are you making a living providing LIFETIME, FREE job search coaching?” The truth is, I don’t; as evidenced above.  I am not a typical recruiter. I try to place you initially within the NEOVETS CMTE Employer Network. After that, I try to market you to companies to help you get a job. That often means I don’t have a relationship with the company, and they are NOT willing to pay a referral fee.
