AFRS challenging Airmen to design paint scheme for next Air Force-sponsored NASCAR

“This car represents all Airmen, active, Guard and Reserve, so we want all Airmen to participate who think they have a winning design to showcase our Air Force,” said Master Sgt. Shawn Emmerling, AFRS national events liaison for the Air Force Reserve.
The design for the Air Force-sponsored No. 43 car featured at NASCAR’s Cup Series Race Oct. 3, 2021, at Talladega Superspeedway, Ala. was a specialty paint scheme dedicated to Air Force Special Warfare Airmen and their mission. Airmen can refer to this wrap as they model their designs for the contest. DoD News

Goldfein emphasizes fitness by walking (actually, running) the walk

By the time he finished 13.1 miles later, the 59-year-old Goldfein was able to claim a personal achievement and something larger – a hard to miss statement from the highest levels about the critical role fitness plays in assuring that the Air Force meets every mission, every time and everywhere.
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein acknowledges congratulations after finishing the Air Force Half Marathon Sept. 21, 2019 at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Goldfein’s shirt honored the Special Tactics Memorial March earlier this year that paid tribute to Staff Sgt. Dylan Elchin a Special Tactics combat controller who was killed in Afghanistan in 2018. His hat carried a SERE instructor logo that was given to him during a visit to Fairchild AFB. (U.S. Air Force photo by Scott Ash) Charles Pope
