Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey helps civilians voice their opinions

The FEVS is a government-wide, Office of Personnel Management administered annual survey that Air Force civilian employees have been participating in since 2006. The approximately 100-question survey takes 20-to-30 minutes to complete and is anonymous. The survey includes questions about employees’ work-life, job and organizational satisfaction, commitment, engagement, performance management and communication. It measures employee perceptions of whether their organization is successful.

Marine Corps Active Duty Military Spouse, Danielle Valadez, RN says

Bryan “Gunny” has been so helpful in assisting me as an active duty military spouse with finding a job. He started with giving me some suggestions about how to better my resume. He then taught me how to navigate the NEOVETS website and which links to use to find a job in my career path. Once I applied to a job from the website, he put me in touch with someone who worked for the Cleveland Clinic. I was informed of what to expect and had all my questions answered along the way.

Job seeking can be a long process so while I was waiting to hear back from the Cleveland Clinic, Bryan continued to help me search for work. He would suggest different job opportunities and connect me with leads outside of the NEOVETS network. He gave me different suggestions on how to network and build a LinkedIn profile. Always very professional and quick to respond. I am so thankful to have this resource being a Marine Corps Active Duty Military Spouse who must move and get a new job every few years. Moving to a new location, especially where no major military presence exists, can cause an added strain to a job search. It’s good to know that there are free resources in Northeast Ohio where military families can get the free help they need! I’m hoping to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing soon to further expand my opportunities, and Gunny will be recommending connections through the NEOVETS College Collaborative with the Cuyahoga Community College.
