Birmingham Hosts Navy Week

Alabama’s “Magic City” hosted members of the U.S. Navy during Navy Week Birmingham, April 9-15 as both Sailors and residents interacted in a series of community outreach events.  The Navy Week program serves as the Navy’s principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence.  The program is designed to help Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
