Coinciding with the Indiana State Fair, Navy Week Indianapolis, Aug. 7-13, included a week-long series of engagements which brought America’s Navy closer to the people it protects. The U.S. Navy Week program serves as our principal outreach effort into the areas of the country without a significant Navy presence.  The program helps Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, and ready to defend America at all times.
